This has all the ingredients to be a comedy classic.
Plot’s it all about? The movie is directed by Steven Soderbergh, the man who gave us Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13, and there’s more than a hint of what made those movies so appealing (with the exception of Ocean’s 12) in Logan Lucky, the first major movie involving NASCAR since the great Talladega Nights.
For a start, there’s a very impressive ensemble cast and once again, an elaborate heist is at the centre of the plot as siblings Jimmy, (Channing Tatum) Mellie (Riley Keough) and Clyde Logan (Adam Driver) try to reverse a family curse by executing a robbery during one of the biggest NASCAR races of the year.
To do so, they enlist the help of prison inmate Sam Bang (Daniel Craig as you’ve never seen him before), while Brian Gleeson also makes an appearance alongside the likes of Katie Holmes, Seth McFarlane and two-time Oscar-winner Hilary Swank.
