Here are the 7 best movies on TV this Friday

It's the first day of spring.

Or is it? Brace yourselves not just for some cold and harsh weather but for people arguing en masse that spring doesn't actually begin until the middle of March. Everything we learned in school was wrong. Or was it? Perhaps you're a spring truther type and today marks the dawning of a new season for you. In any event, it doesn't affect the concept of movies being shown on television and thus here is your line-up for tonight, Friday 1 February... Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation - Film 4 - 9pm Tom Cruise takes on a shadowy syndicate led by Sean Harris as the MI franchise goes bigger than ever before. At least until Fallout followed, anyway. Safe - Universal TV - 9pm A despairing Jason Statham finds a reason to carry on in the form of a hyper-intelligent young girl whom he must protect from various villains in this tense, fast-moving thriller. Kill Bill: Volume 2 - SyFy - 10pm Uma Thurman concludes her roaring rampage of revenge. The Departed - ITV4 - 11pm Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon face off beneath the watchful eye of Jack Nicholson in Martin Scorsese's bloody remix of Infernal Affairs. Hard To Kill - TCM - 11pm Steven Seagal is exactly what it says on the tin. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance - Film 4 - 11.40pm Uneven enough, but Nic Cage rocking a flaming skull means it's worth a curious look or two. American Mary - Channel 4 - 12.35am Indie scream queen Katharine Isabelle shines in an intense, violent and gory body horror that is definitely not for squeamish types.
