At the time of writing, the last entry in the Danny Glover and Mel Gibson-fronted buddy cop franchise.
Anna – Film4 – 9pm
Cillian Murphy, Helen Mirren and Luke Evans are among the cast of this action thriller about a young woman (Sasha Luss) who becomes an assassin.
Passenger 57 – Turner Classic Movies – 9pm
The movie which made Wesley Snipes an action star.
Cold Skin – Horror Xtra – 9pm
In this atmospheric period horror, a young man arrives at a remote island to take the post of weather observer only to find himself defending the watchtower from deadly creatures which live on the island shores.
Waves – BBC Three – 9.45pm
This acclaimed American drama from 2019 follows the struggles of a suburban Florida family led by a well-intentioned but domineering father (Sterling K. Brown).

Get Carter – ITV4 – 10pm
When his brother dies under mysterious circumstances in a car accident, London gangster Jack Carter (Michael Caine) travels to Newcastle to investigate in this British crime classic.
In the Heart of the Sea – BBC One – 10.30pm
From director Ron Howard and starring Chris Hemsworth, this historical adventure drama details the real-life sinking of an American whaling ship in 1820 that wound up inspiring the novel Moby-Dick.
Ransom – Turner Classic Movies – 10.45pm
This terrifically tense 90’s thriller follows a multi-millionaire (Mel Gibson) whose son is kidnapped. After initially agreeing to pay the ransom, the dad then decides to use the money as a bounty on the perpetrators of the crime.
Bone Tomahawk – AMC – 11pm
Kurt Russell, Matthew Fox, Patrick Wilson and Richard Jenkins star in our pick for tonight as men of the Old West who embark on a quest to rescue a group of their townsfolk who were abducted by cannibals.
The directorial debut of novelist S. Craig Zahler – who brings his rich eye for character and detail into film – Bone Tomahawk begins as an exciting and often funny men-on-a-mission Western, before making a sharp turn in the final stretch of the movie into absolute never-shredding horror.
Released in 2015, it received rave reviews from critics, as evident by its 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, its latter section is definitely not for the squeamish.
Honeymoon – Horror Xtra – 11.05pm
In this very creepy 2014 horror, a newlywed couple’s honeymoon in a secluded forest takes a dark turn.
Swan Song – Channel 4 – 1am
Mahershala Ali was Golden Globe-nominated for his lead role in this sci-fi drama made by Irish director Benjamin Cleary.
