Because we need them now, more than ever…
Oh, hi there.
With the country ready for a widespread shutdown in order to combat the spread of Covid-19, we could really use some home entertainment options.
That’s what we’re here for. Stay safe out there.
Here are the best movies on TV on Thursday 12 March…
Crocodile Dundee – Film 4 – 7.05pm
Paul Hogan in the only role you know him for.
Ocean’s Eleven – Comedy Central – 9pm
Cool movie stars milling about doing cool things with no real life-altering stakes in play? Yeah, we’ll take all of that you’ve got right about now.
Ride Along – ITV2 – 9pm
Action-comedy shenanigans with Ice Cube and Kevin Hart.
The Postman – TCM – 9pm
Kevin Costner mills about delivering mail and such to people in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Hopefully not a glimmer of things to come, but it’d be nice to meet Kevin Costner, all the same.
Heartbreak Ridge – ITV4 – 9pm
Clint Eastwood goes to war.
Babylon A.D. – Film 4 – 10.50pm
Vin Diesel is a mercenary on a mission in a dangerous futuristic world.
I won’t lie, this is not a good film. However, it’s the kind of cinematic junk food distraction we could probably all use right about now.
Lost & Found – Film 4 – 12.35am
Seven stories interconnect in the lost and found office of an Irish train station.
LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
