One of the sexiest films of the decade is among the movies on TV tonight

It’s certain to get the pulses racing.

It’s Wednesday, we’re halfway through the week, it’s the perfect time to settle into a good flick and luckily there’s plenty of great movies on TV tonight.

If you’re all caught up on the latest episode of Succession, you could also jump into an extremely bingeable recent series addition on Netflix or one of 13 very big movies just added to Prime Video.

If nothing there tickles your fancy, don’t fret – there’s some great movies on TV tonight too. Among them, one of the raunchiest flicks of the past decade. Take a look below.

K-19: The Widowmaker – Film4 – 6.20pm

Harrison Ford stars as Captain Alexei Vostrikov who commands Russia’s first nuclear submarine. When the ship malfunctions on its maiden voyage, the crew must race to save the ship and prevent a nuclear disaster. Liam Neeson and Peter Sarsgaard also star in this Kathryn Bigelow film.

Trespass – Turner Classic Movies – 9pm

Nicolas Cage and Nicole Kidman star as a married couple taken hostage by extortionists where the things they have been hiding from each other come to the fore.

Hustlers – Film4 – 9pm

Our pick for tonight is one of the sexiest films of the past decade. Released in 2019, Hustlers stars Constance Wu, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, and Cardi B. The crime film follows a group of New York City strippers who drug and steal money from the high-ranking clients that visit their New York club, then running up their credit cards.

The film also features one of the best character introductions of all time that may set a few pulses racing. Described by our very own Rory Cashin as “Goodfellas with stripping”, we couldn’t think of a better three words to make you want to watch this film.

Tears of the Sun – Great! Action – 9pm

A Special-Ops commander leads his team into the Nigerian jungle in order to rescue a doctor who will only join them if they agree to save 70 refugees too. Bruce Willis and Monic Bellucci star.

Bad Samaritan – The Horror Channel – 9pm

Two Irish stars, Robert Sheehan and Kerry Condon, feature in this 2018 thriller about a parking valet who burgles the houses of the drivers he services, only to discover one of his rich customers is a serial killer (David Tennant).

Hostile – The Horror Channel – 11.10pm

2017 horror about a lone survivor of an apocalyptic era, fighting to survive against hunger, thirst, a broken leg and strange, disturbing creatures that only come out at nighttime.

Misery – Film4 – 11.10pm

One of the best Stephen King adaptations sees the iconic Kathy Bates in one of her most terrifying roles as an obsessive fan who takes an author hostage, forcing him to complete the final book in his series.

The Assistant – Film4 – 1.25am

Julie Garner and Succession’s Matthew MacFadyen star in this 2019 thriller about an assistant to a powerful executive who grows increasingly aware of the insidious abuse that threatens every aspect of her position.

Funny Cow – Channel 4 – 2.05am

A stand-up comedian fights for success on the brutally unforgiving working men’s club scene of 1970s northern England.
