The war on drugs is only beginning in Narcos…
Easily one of the most popular and impressive offerings on the streaming service in recent years, Netflix have announced that Narcos will return for a third season later this year.
***SPOILER ALERT INCOMING***
As the show is based on real-life events, revealing that the focus of the first two series, Pablo Escobar, is dead and gone is hardly a spoiler, but his death is only the beginning of the war on drugs thanks to the rise and rise of the Cali cartel.

The Cali cartel have already featured prominently in Narcos, but now they will be the main focus of attention for Agent Peña and the DEA and with good reason too; at one point their network was so vast, they were believed to have controlled 90% of the world’s cocaine market.
The real life Peña and Murphy appeared in the show in the second season, but not too many people noticed.
“To pretend that these guys weren’t just as evil as the guy who came before them, that’s a mistake,” says Peña in a trailer that’s already whetted the appetite for more of one of the best shows in recent years.
