What to watch on Paramount+ now that it is available in Ireland
The new streaming service launched in Ireland this week.
Netflix. Amazon Prime Video. Disney+. Apple TV+. And now we can add Paramount+ to the list available in Ireland.
The new streaming service launched in Ireland and the UK on Wednesday, 22 June, costing €7.99 per month or €79.90 per year, while existing Sky Cinema subscribers can avail of Paramount+ at no extra cost.
As for what will actually be available on the service when it launches, there will be a huge back catalogue of pre-existing Paramount movies (such as the Star Trek, Transformers and Mission: Impossible franchises) and TV shows, while from the brand-new stuff, here are the highlights we've spotted:
HALO
Episodes 1-3 available at launch, new episodes every Wednesday
An adaptation of one of the biggest video games of all time, we'll follow Master Chief (played by Pablo Schreiber) who exists on the frontline of a massive intergalactic war. Check out our interview with the Master Chief himself right here:

Taking place before Kirk or Picard, this sees Captain Pike (Anson Mount) captaining the U.S.S. Enterprise as he and his crew explore new worlds around the galaxy.

A fresh take on the David Bowie movie of the same name. An alien (Chiwetel Ejiofor) lands on Earth and encounters humanity at a very important point in our evolution.
