It looks like there will be more Peaky Blinders than anyone expected

Carl Kinsella

Peaky Blinders

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has confirmed that fans of the show can expect at least three more seasons.

Knight, who created the BBC Two phenomenon, is currently working on the show’s fifth season. While speaking to the Birmingham Press Club, he acknowledged that the gangster drama’s popularity has only continued to surge.

According to the BBC, Knight said “We are definitely doing six and we will probably do seven. After series four it went mad.”

Knight isn’t worried about losing his top talent either, saying “We’ve talked to Cillian Murphy and he’s all for it, and the rest of the principal cast are in for it.”

But Knight isn’t just expecting the show to confine its magnificence to the silver screen. The Brummie native revealed that he’d been approached with a view to turning the show into a ballet…

He said “”I had a meeting with Ballet Rambert who want to do Peaky Blinders – The Ballet. I’m saying ‘why not?'”

The Rambert Dance Company is based in London, and we’d be extremely eager to see how one communicates the sentiment “BY ORDER OF THE PEAKY FOOKIN’ BLINDERS” through ballet.

Season 5 of Peaky Blinders won’t return to our screens until 2019, but we’re already dying for Seasons 6 and 7.
