Here's why LCD Soundsystem didn’t feature on RTÉ’s Electric Picnic coverage
It got a lot of people talking.
LCD Soundsystem’s first appearance at the festival since 2010 was one of the big highlights on Day Two of Electric Picnic; indeed, the presence of James Murphy and company was the primary reason for many people making the trek to Stradbally this year.

There were plenty of people not at the festival sorely disappointed to have missed out on what, by all accounts, was a cracking performance and that disappointment was exacerbated when not one second of the set featured on RTÉ’s coverage of the festival on Saturday night.
Plenty of people expressed their disappointment about the absence of LCD Soundsystem from the RTÉ coverage…

As RTÉ explained themselves to those who tagged them in tweets, however, as was the case with the Chemical Brothers on Friday night, the artist didn’t grant permission to be broadcast so RTÉ’s hands were tied.
sorry but they haven't give us permission to show their performances

For those of you who did miss out, here’s a brief snippet of ‘Get Innocuous’ that our guys on the ground captured at the festival on Saturday night…
James Murphy, meanwhile, reportedly promised the crowd that they’d be back in 2017 so there’s always next year.
