Hard as it might be to believe, it’s been a little under 14 years since the final instalment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was in cinemas; apologies if you’re feeling old all of a sudden.
Mere mention of one of the most famous trilogies in movie history will be enough to warm the hearts of Lord of the Rings fans the world over, who no doubt will enjoy snaps of a reunion of some of the main cast members on Monday night.
Dom Monaghan (Merry) posted pictures of the reunion on Instagram, a reunion attended by Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), Elijah Wood (Frodo), Orlando Bloom (Legolas) and Billy Boyd (Pippin).
Perhaps wisely, there were no weapons at the scene, although they all made the most of some cutlery to strike vaguely threatening poses.
