The irishman first look

We can’t wait.

Any new feature from Martin Scorsese is always going to be an event that film fans will mark in their calendar, but there seems to be even more hype than usual around The Irishman.

Telling the story of an epic saga of organised crime in post-war America through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th century.

Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history; the disappearance of legendary Union President Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organised crime; its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.

Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Jesse Plemons, Anna Paquin, Stephen Graham, Ray Romano and Bobby Cannavale are just some of the names involved in this adaptation of Charles Brandt’s beloved novel I Heard You Paint Houses.

Netflix has now released their first images from the biographical crime film which you can see below.

Netflix has said the movie will land on its platform this Autumn.
