Plot’s it all about?
Steven Spielberg is back in full-on future geek mode for this adaptation of Ernest Cline’s much loved and best-selling dystopian sci-fi novel.
Ready Player One is set in a dystopian future (is there any other kind?) where the Earth has been ravaged and the only escape is through a Virtual Reality headset that brings you into the world of the OASIS.
If that all sounds like something you’ve seen a thousand times, let us remind you that Steven Spielberg does not do things by default and he’s bringing us into a nostalgia-filled world of DeLoreans, Freddie Krueger, The Iron Giant and lots of other references to the 1980s.
This is going to be HUGE.
