Everyone on the couch and in the audience was understandably horrified by one of the most bizarre red chair stories you'll ever hear.

There have been some gems of stories told on the red chair by audience members on the Graham Norton Show over the years and one told on Friday night won’t be forgotten in a hurry, if not necessarily for the right reasons. John, from Bangor in Northern Ireland, a man who tries “to make it easier for people with disabilities to bank” (yep, it confused Graham a little too) told of feeling extreme pain in the rectal region one morning after getting out of bed. If that wasn’t uncomfortable enough to listen to – Kelly Clarkson seemed particularly perturbed – then his account of his visit to the doctor was even worse. Without wanting to spoil it for you before you watch the video below, let’s just say it involved an examination, a stick of asparagus and an explanation that makes the whole episode even more bizarre than it already was. https://twitter.com/TheGNShow/status/929128138617040896 Warning: You might not want to be eating while watching the video below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao4ddV-ZCJU Clip via The Graham Norton Show
