Great news for fans of the show.

Rick and Morty fans are a loyal bunch.

They protect the show with their lives, and are rewarded with year extremely long waits between each season.

Season four is next for the inter-galactic cartoon comedy, and there’s a grand total of 70 episodes on the way.

70! Over twice as many episodes as there is of the show that currently exist.

But this isn’t the only bit of good news for the fans. It has recently been confirmed that the lengthy periods between seasons will soon be a thing of the past.

The hiatus between season three and season four being released is 18 months, which does seem a bit ridiculous for any show, let alone a cartoon.

Speaking to Polygon, creator of the show Dan Harmon said: “We want the episodes to stay good, but we do also want to try to turn them around a little quicker now that we have this big order, I think it gives us the ability to be faster. We’re not going to do these long breaks, these chasms in between seasons anymore. We’re going to schedule vacation time and just keep the machine going. It’s going to be really cool.”

Sounds good to us!
