Who’s coming with us?

Ricky Gervais will perform at the 3 Arena in Dublin on June 24 as part of his first worldwide stand-up comedy tour in seven years.

Gervais announced details of the Humanity tour on Friday, a tour that will see him perform 37 times in the UK, US, Canada and various venues in Europe starting later this month and finishing up in October of this year.

Humanity will be Gervais’ fifth UK stand-up tour; all of his previous tours – ‘Science’, ‘Fame’, ‘Politics’ and ‘Animals’ – made it to DVD afterwards.

Tickets for the Dublin gig and the rest of the second leg of the tour go on sale next Friday.

Commenting on the announcement of the tour, which could yet see further dates added, Gervais said: “Thousands of people paying hard earned cash to come and see you live is such a privilege.

“You’d better have something different, interesting and funny to say.

“Humanity is my angriest, most honest and I think my best tour yet. It’s probably my most personal too.

“I feel I may as well tell you everything before I die.

“Hope you enjoy it. Or not.

“There are no refunds. Just like life, I guess.”
