The Irishman is up for Best Director for Room.

We're sure you've heard by now that Lenny Abrahamson, who JOE had the pleasure of interviewing recently, has been nominated for Best Director at the Oscars, thanks to his fantastic film, Room. To celebrate the incredible success of Room, which the Academy has also nominated in the categories of Best Film, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Actress, RTÉ 2 are screening three of his best known films ahead of the big night.
