Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we're taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Spies In Disguise. Plot's It All About? Lance (Will Smith) and Walter (Tom Holland). One is a super cool and charming spy, and the other invents the super cool gadgets Lance uses. When an event happens, they must learn to rely on each other like never before in order to save the world. That is the official plot synopsis provided by 20th Century Fox, and from the description, you'd be forgiven for thinking that event is something to do with a spy losing all of his weapons, or maybe they're both disavowed and they have to rely on their wits? Nope. What is it? Well... we don't want to ruin that for you, but it isn't hyperbole to say that we would NEVER have guessed the direction that this trailer ends up going on. We would've given ANYTHING to be in the room when they came up with the pitch for plot, when they begin talking about a spy and his gadget maker, and then... this. THIS. Oddly, the IMDb page doesn't list any writers. Not one. So either it came to the company in a dream, or nobody wants to accept responsibility for this idea.
