Star of Netflix’s You discusses THAT twist from the end of Season 2

If you’ve seen the second season of the show, you’ll know exactly what twist we’re referring to.

If you haven’t seen Season 2 of You, consider this your spoiler warning. Get out of here, and come back when you’ve watched it all.

Now.

If fans were concerned that the second season of You, which is basically a soap opera/thriller, wouldn’t be able to keep up with the madness of the first, well your fears were quickly put to bed.

To quickly recap, Joe (or Will, whatever you want to call him), is still alive, and still crazy. Now he has a partner in crime (Love), who is potentially even more crazy, despite seeming innocent throughout 99% of the season.

She has essentially been stalking and manipulating him, while he thought he was doing the same to her.

Both have proven that they are more than willing to kill for each other, and have racked up over 10 bodies between them at this point.

And they’ve a child on the way. Good stuff.

The actress who plays Love, Victoria Pedretti, has given her thoughts on the big twist, saying: “I found out about it pretty late in the season that we had already started shooting.

“I think that it makes sense with who she is throughout the whole show. It’s certainly not something she would have to do, but then once you find out you’re going to be representing these kinds of really violent acts you just start figuring out how to perform it.

“I don’t think that I was too caught up in trying to get into the psyche of a killer. I don’t think that is who she is at her core. But she did feel the compulsion to protect her man and her child without thinking about the consequences in a very impulsive and animalistic and, I think, completely unjustifiable way. But in her mind, it was far more simple.”

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about a potential Season 3, which will almost definitely see Joe and Love as parents, Pedretti was not optimistic about how that would end, saying: “That would not go well”.

We agree.
