The actor had roles in a number of Irish movies and shows.
Tributes have begun to pour in following the death of Love/Hate actor Stephen Clinch.
The Sunday World reports that the actor, 52, was found dead in Dublin on Tuesday (24 May).
Clinch played Noely, a criminal in a feud with the character of Fran, in the fourth and fifth seasons of the hit Irish crime drama.
He also had roles in director Mark O’Connor’s films Cardboard Gangsters, King of the Travellers and Stalker, as well as the 2019 series Darklands.
“You made mistakes but you came through them. An incredible actor, the only one to star in all my films and Darklands,” O’Connor wrote on Twitter.
“One of the funniest people you could ever meet. Never asked for nothing and gave everything.
“Today Dublin has lost one of its realest legends. RIP my pal Clinchy.”

Clinch’s Darklands co-star Robbie Breen, meanwhile, told the Sunday World:
“He was a true character on and off the set, may he rest in peace.”
In 2016, Clinch was jailed for holding a loaded semi-automatic pistol to a security worker’s head and trying to rob €50,000.
He was released in 2019 and later told the Irish Sun that returning to crime after 14 years was the “stupidest thing” he ever did and that he regretted it deeply.
The actor’s funeral will be held at Our Lady Immaculate Church in Darndale on Saturday.
