You wanted a depressing montage, you got it, bitch!
Falling off roofs, getting beat up, loved ones dying, family rejection, more loved ones dying, getting beat up even more... and then one more beating just for the heck of it – it’s all in a day’s work for Jesse Pinkman.
Or rather, it’s all in five seasons of Breaking Bad work for the most tragic character in TV history.
Brilliantly portrayed by the excellent Emmy award-winning actor Aaron Paul, Pinkman has been through it all and then some, most of which is included in this impressive (and depressing) montage edited by
Andrew Bouvé of Slate.
Interestingly, the clip doesn’t include the exact moment that Jesse and Walter White (Bryan Cranston) partner up in Season One, arguably the worst thing that ever happened to the poor, tortured soul.
Additionally, the best television series of all time still has one inevitably incredible episode to go, so the clip may yet have to be slightly amended...
So have your hankies at the ready Breaking Bad fans, because it’s about to get a little bit emotional yo.
We’re just happy they didn’t make the whole thing even sadder by putting R.E.M.’s ‘Everybody Hurts’ over the top of it.
