Being an actor requires being able to get into various emotional states on a whim. How male actors get themselves into tear-jerking mode has surprised us greatly.
We were under the impression that it was simply a matter of thinking back to sad moments in one’s life. We know only too well the pain of losing a dog as a child – we won’t get into why Rover is no longer with us, it still hurts too much – but for male actors it appears that there is a quicker, if not painful way of welling up.

Leaving aside the fact we lack all the qualities required to be an actor, we are glad we chose the profession we did.
