Two great shows, one amazing mash-up.
Of all the great TV shows out there at the moment, two arguably at the forefront of viewers’ attentions right now are House of Cards and Game of Thrones due to the recent release of the second season of the former and the forthcoming release of the fourth season of the latter, the first episode of which JOE was fortunate enough to witness at an exclusive screening at the Lighthouse Cinema last night.
But enough gloating (it was AMAZING), we’re here to tell you about a quite brilliant mash-up of the two shows put together by Toasty TV, an entertainment channel on YouTube provided by fast-food brand Quiznos.
Cynics might point out that there is a little bit of product placement in here – you can barely notice it – but the Frank Underwood character is pitch perfect and there are loads of excellent references that will strike a chord with fans of both shows, right down to the taps on the table at the end in homage to the super finale of the most recent series of House of Cards.
If there’s one modern day television character who would fit right in in Westeros, it’s Frank Underwood.
