Making clever use of the ‘Anglo Tapes’, ‘Give up Your Aul Sovereignty’ is some fine work indeed.
On last night’s Republic of telly, the gloves were off as they put the boot into the bankers.
Taking the famous ‘Give Up Your Aul Sins’ as it’s template, they created ‘Give Up Your Aul Sovereignty’ with bits from the infamous Anglo Tapes replacing the biblical stories.
Once again you get to hear all the worst of Anglo Irish Bank’s excess, but now with funny cartoons and some horrified children.
It’s a bit more Irish Pictorial Weekly than Republic of Telly, but that’s no harm either.
Right, I’m now off to punch a wall.
