Recognise anyone Mammy?
The good people over at The Republic of Telly have hit the Irish nail on the Irish head yet again with their latest super sketch, Bridget & Eamon: The Visitors.
Set to the perfect Gay Byrne-inspired soundtrack, funny folk Jennifer Maguire and Bernard O’Shea rustle up what looks like the most delicious lard-laden fry JOE’s ever seen, go about their business hoovering absolutely EVERYTHING, and give the windows their obligatory newspaper wipe-down, all in preparation of the imminent arrival of… The Visitors.
The sketch with the party piece in front of the fireplace was a little bit hard to watch though – too many painful memories you see.
“No Mammy, I do not want to sing Little Donkey. Again.”
