WATCH: Benedict Cumberbatch reveals what Doctor Strange would do to Donald Trump

Conor Heneghan

“Be gone will ya?”

Benedict Cumberbatch has revealed that he would make Donald Trump disappear if equipped with the same powers as Doctor Strange, the character he plays in the movie of the same name.

Cumberbatch was asked the question by a JOE reader in an exclusive Irish interview on Facebook Live to promote Doctor Strange, which went on release in Irish cinemas from today.

Doctor Strange, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular magic-slinging magician, is directed by Scott Derrickson and is the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest foray into the world of heroes, magic and otherworldly realms.

JOE Editor Paddy McKenna travelled to London to catch up with Cumberbatch, who chatted, amongst other things, about Father Ted, Bosco and that time he photobombed U2.

You can catch the interview in full above and watch the official trailer for Doctor Strange below.

In other Marvel-ous news, meanwhile, director Scott Derrickson confirmed that Cumberbatch will indeed be starring alongside The Avengers in the upcoming Infinity War. Excellent.
