That’s an awful lot of rain…
Eminem took a lot of deserved criticism for his most recent album, with it being labelled as one of his worst pieces of work of his long career.
It felt like a disjointed, messy train-wreck of an album. But his song River, with Ed Sheeran, was praised by many as the best on the album.
The song follows a troubled couple who go through emotional turmoil throughout the six minute track. The lyrics are as depressing as they are gripping and Ed Sheeran sounds great on the chorus.
We now have a new outlook on the song.
We see Eminem examined by a therapist as it cuts back and forth to clips of a couple and a seriously intense domestic spat. Have a look for yourself here:

The art of a damn good music video might well be on the way out, but with the man behind the cinematic masterclass of Stan still making music, we shouldn’t give up on videos like that just yet.
People took to Twitter to react the video, and boy was that reaction positive.
Eminem & Ed Sheeran's 'River' probably ranks among my top 10 music videos in recent memory from a storytelling standpoint. Wow, this man knows how to capture emotion
