Fair play to Evelyn, she handled it like a pro.
As if trying to predict our weather isn’t tricky enough, we can imagine that it’s pretty tough for Irish weather forecasters to have to present it to a live audience, particularly when it’s bad news a large part of the time.
The history of live weather forecasts is littered with unfortunate mistakes caused by malfunctioning graphics and RTE’s Evelyn Cusack became the latest victim on Tuesday evening.
Whatever graphics Evelyn was expecting weren’t appearing on screen, but rather than wilt on screen in front of the nation, she passed it off with a smile and was able to deliver the forecast in verbal rather than visual terms.
