Mac Miller quite clearly had an impact on so many lives.

Popular rapper Mac Miller passed away from a drug overdose on 7 September of this year.

Since then, tributes have regularly poured in for the artist from almost everyone in the music industry.

This was at its most evident at Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life, a tribute concert in Malcolm McCormick’s honour that took place on Wednesday night.

Put together by Miller’s family, loads of huge artists got together to pay tribute to Miller and his work both in and out of the studio.

Have a look at just some of the talented musicians who shared a message on the night:

Meanwhile, Donald Glover described him as “a necessary light”, while Joey Badass spoke about the opportunities that Miller gave him, saying: “Mac gave me one of my first shots in the game — I remember the date. April 15, 2012. He asked me to open up. It was a school night!… I just remember all of us, we felt like we could take over the world that night.”

Perhaps the most touching sentiment of the night was the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff’s message, who said: “You have touched so many people, including myself. I want to thank you for the advice you gave me. Not the advice I gave you.”

His legacy is clearly an impressive one, and one that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
