In a recent speech, Mr Trump accused Mexican people of bringing a number of things to America; "they're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some I assume are good people, but I speak to border guards, and they tell us what we are getting."
250,000 people signed a petition following the remarks to have Trump fired from the network which lead to a statement being released from the channel saying "At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values."
On hearing the news, Mr Trump has said that he expected to lose the business relationship but he has also mentioned the idea of pursuing legal action in response to his firing.
In the meantime, Trump's presidential campaign continues with the first candidate debate taking place in five weeks.
That should be interesting.
