Highway to Hell – Satanists raising money to adopt New York highway

JOE

The Satanic Temple in the United States has launched a fundraising campaign so they can buy a stretch of highway in New York

The lads need about $15,000 to get their hands on the stretch for two years, and they hope to keep it clean and free of litter so that everyone can use it.

If they do manage to get their hands on it by raising the money through their Indiegogo page, then the Department of Transportation will put up a sign acknowledging that they own the highway, and according to The Toronto Sun, they want to “promote a message of Satanic civic pride and social responsibility.”

Confused? We were too, until we watched this promotional video they’ve made for it, and that emotion changed to slightly scared.

Their tagline on the promotional video is “The Satanic Temple – Helping others and leaving the world a better place”, which is a lovely thought. They seem like a great bunch of lads…bar the Satan worshiping and all that. Each to their own though.

And before you ask, yes, we mainly covered this story so that we could use the Highway to Hell headline.
