An infant boy has died following a road crash in Clare on Wednesday, 8 May.
Gardaí have stated that they are at the scene of the road traffic incident that occurred at a residential area on Quin Road in Ennis shortly before 12:30pm.
A Garda spokesperson said the boy was transferred from the scene to University Hospital Limerick and has since been pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.
"A family liaison officer is being appointed to support the family at this time," the spokesperson added.
"The scene is currently preserved pending an examination by Forensic Collision Investigators."
