A bit of a mixed bag.
Those of you hoping for a repeat of the gorgeous weather of last weekend over the next few days are going to be a little disappointed, but it’s not all bad all the same.
According to Met Éireann, Holy Thursday and Good Friday are set to be as dull as dishwater, with plenty of clouds, very little sunshine and patches of light rain and drizzle throughout the country apart from the south and southeast.
Temperatures will reach no higher than 13 degrees on Good Friday and it will turn cool to the extent that there will be some grass frost on Friday night into the early hours of Saturday morning.
Saturday is set to be a little better, with dry and sunny spells in many parts of the country apart from in the north, where scattered showers will be a feature throughout the day.
Sunday is shaping up to be the best day of the weekend, with high pressure leading to mostly dry weather in the southern half of the country, with showery rain likely to affect parts of the west and the north.
Temperatures will be a fairly steady 11-15 degrees during the day so it’s not exactly barbeque weather, but it won’t be a washout either, so you should be fine to go ahead with any outdoor activity planned for the day that’s in it.
Overall, the forecast isn’t great, but it’s not terrible either. We’ll take it.
