Considering that Gareth Bale is in a Real Madrid jersey, we’ll assume it was only filmed this week. Sure it was.
He may be the man everyone is talking about now following his big money move from Spurs, but Bale, as most people do, has to play second fiddle to Lionel Messi in the latest ad for FIFA ’14, the arrival of which later this month is keenly anticipated by ourselves and millions of gamers worldwide.
What the theme of this ad is supposed to be we’re not sure – all we can determine is that everyone is involved in some sort of couch race through the desert while playing the game at the same time – but it looks pretty good and there are some well-known faces, including Messi, Bale, Javier Hernandez and rap and hip-hop artist Drake, in there too.
EA Sports could, quite frankly, have an ad with a cow and a football in a field and it would be enough to get fans of the game excited so close to its release, which is thankfully only a matter of weeks away at this stage.
Thank God for that.
