Seeing captain Scott Brown sent off for a tangle with Neymar really hurt their chances and in the end, the Spanish giants skipped away with all three points, leaving Celtic pointless after two games.
But one gem to emerge from the night for Celtic was the performance of their fans. Yet again they delivered a hair-raising version of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ that was up there with their best ever.
