A great gesture for a great man.
Tony Fenton’s funeral takes place in Dublin today and, since the legendary broadcaster sadly passed away last week, friends and fans have been paying tribute in their own special way, including this giant canvas which has been placed outside Today FM’s headquarters.
Perhaps most poignantly, this afternoon at 2.30pm (the time Tony’s show kicked off on Today FM), Irish radio stations will unite to play one of the DJ’s favourite songs, Aretha Franklin’s ‘I Say A Little Prayer’.
Tony’s Today FM colleague and close friend, Ian Dempsey, tweeted about the touching gesture earlier today.
