Liam Gallagher finally explains where, when and how his feud with Noel began

The truth finally comes out.

Oasis reunion

Liam and Noel. Noel and Liam. Inseparable, but completely incapable of actually being in the same room together.

The brothers have been enemies for almost as long as they’ve been famous, since all the way back in 1994 when their first public spat resulted in Noel briefly leaving Oasis mid-world tour.

Through the years they’ve never been particularly shy about expressing their true feelings about one another, but for most folk, the reason why the Gallagher brothers never seem to get on – outside of “artistic integrity”, we’re supposing – has been mostly kinda elusive.

Well, just this week, Liam may have finally answered the age-old question: Where is the love?

In an interview with Howard Stern, Liam suggested that things kicked off back when he was just 15, and one night had a little too much drink, and… well, we’ll let him tell it:

“I’d been out drinking when I was about 15 and I had maybe a little too many sherries, and I come in, and I have a spliff as well. The room was spinning and I got up out of bed […] I couldn’t find the light switch, and I thought, ‘F**k it, I’m just gonna have to go, man.”

“I whipped it out and pissed all over his f**king new sound system. And he’s going, ‘What the f**k are you doing?’ I was like, ‘I was just having a f**king piss.’ [He says,] ‘Is that my f**king new f**king stereo?’ [I said,] ‘It’s alright, it will f**king dry, won’t it?’ And I think he holds a grudge over that.”

So there you have it.

Some people just can’t let go of a grudge.

And some people just can’t hold their booze.
