Easy exercise of the week: Flutter Kicks

Lower ab workout.

Designed to predominantly target your abdominal muscles, working the lower abs in particular, this is a simple to do exercise which will help you get that tight, firm stomach you’ve been looking for.

  • Start by lying flat on your back on a mat with your arms by your sides.
  • Place your hands under the small of your back to elevate yourself slightly.
  • Extend your legs fully out with a slight bend in your knees.
  • Lift your heels about 6 inches off the floor.
  • Make little, quick up and down scissor-like motions with your legs.
  • Let the midsection do all the work and keep your abs constantly contracted throughout the exercise.
