Paddy Box Breakfast Box

Feast your eyes.

If you’re not familiar with The Paddy Box, here’s a quick explainer:

A recent enough social phenomenon, the carefully curated selection box was designed to pack in every product that an Irish person would likely miss while living abroad.

Your Tayto crisps, your Cadbury’s Dairy Milk, your Barry’s Tea and, of course, your Ballymaloe Relish.

They followed that one up with the Birthday Box, which also proved a big hit.

And now, just in time for Christmas – it’s the first of November so look, we’re just going to have to get used to people saying that for a little while, okay? – comes the Breakfast Box.

This Friday 2 November marks the arrival of the latest delectable package, and this time – you guessed it – the focus is on the traditional Irish breakfast fry-up.

The box, available while stocks last between 2 November and 18 December, can be shipped anywhere in the UK and EU, contains the following:

  • 8 Pack of Denny Rashers
  • 8 Pack of Denny Jumbo Sausages
  • 1 Clonakilty White Pudding
  • 1 Clonakilty Black Pudding
  • 1 Tin Batchelors Baked Beans
  • 1 Cadbury Purple Snack 6 Pack
  • Barry’s Tea Bags 40 Bags
  • 2 mini Jam/Marmalade Pots
  • 2 Ballymaloe Relish Pots
  • 4 Dairygold Butter portions

“We’re really excited to continue with our mission of spreading grá, one box at a time this Christmas,” said Paddy Box supremo Mark Loftus.

“Since we launched The Paddy Box in November 2017, the response has been incredible. We’ve delivered to over 80 countries worldwide.

“We’ve taken customer feedback on board and are so excited to introduce the Irish Breakfast Box. This is something that was highly requested and top of the list of what reminds Irish living abroad of home the most.”

To celebrate the launch of the box , The Paddy Box conducted their own research on the likes, interests and cravings of Irish currently living abroad.

The results make for some interesting reading.

  • 70% of respondents said the first thing they eat when they land back home is a fry up.
  • 85% of respondents said they miss Ballymaloe Relish more than their in-laws.
  • 68% of Irish living abroad would prefer a good cup of Barry’s Tea over the local pint of the country they have moved to.
  • 59% of respondents said they would give up social media for one month in order to have a box of their favourite Irish food delivered to them abroad.

If flown to Ireland for one day only, 58% of Irish living abroad respondents said they would go to Penneys, 56% said they would have a rasher sandwich and a cup of Barry’s Tea, 33% would visit their grandparents, 74% would spend time with their parents and 23% would attend a GAA match.
