Ryanair’s website and mobile app will be closed for a number of hours on Wednesday and Thursday due to a systems upgrade.

Ryanair is urging all customers flying with the airline on Wednesday and Thursday to check in online today (Tuesday, 21 March), while their website and mobile app closes for a systems upgrade later this week.

Ryanair today confirmed that its website and mobile app will close for eight hours for a systems upgrade from 6.30pm on Wednesday, 22 March until 2.30am on Thursday, 23 March and that its online check-in service will not be available during this period.

The airline has urged all customers travelling on Wednesday and Thursday to check-in online for their flight on Tuesday, 21 March, before the web closure takes place. New bookings or changes to existing flights will not be possible during the web closure.

All customers booked to travel on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 March have been contacted by email and SMS text to advise them to check in online on Tuesday, 21 March to avoid the disruption.

Ryanair has apologised for any inconvenience caused by this web closure/systems upgrade.

Commenting on the disruption, Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said: “This web closure and systems upgrade will take 8 hours, from 18.30hrs (UK time) on Wednesday 22nd March, until 02:30hrs (UK time) on Thursday 23rd March, during which time our online check-in service will not be available.

“Flight bookings and changes will also be unavailable during this period. Customers travelling on Wednesday or Thursday should check-in for their flight on Tuesday, 21st March.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this upgrade, which will further improve Ryanair.com, Europe’s largest travel website, as we continue our path to becoming the Amazon of Travel.”
