Saul Goodman is not a reliable source. Bob Odenkirk, however, we trust.

A Breaking Bad movie has been in the pipeline for what feels like years at this point.

The hit TV show ended in 2013, and since then, a movie about the series has been teased by basically everyone involved, from cast members to showrunners.

So far, we’ve got nothing in the movie department, but fans were gifted a fairly brilliant spin-off about one of the show’s best characters in Better Call Saul.

Ahead of Better Call Saul’s fifth season, star of the show Bob Odenkirk has some good news for anyone who’s waiting on a Breaking Bad movie to be made.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said: “I’ve heard so many different things about it, but I am excited about the Breaking Bad movie. I can’t wait to see it.”

He continued: “I don’t know what people know and don’t know. I find it hard to believe you don’t know it was shot.

“They did it. You know what I mean? How is that a secret? But it is. They’ve done an amazing job of keeping it a secret.”

Wow. So it sounds like it’s genuinely on the way, and sooner than we thought.

This is the guy who plays Saul Goodman we’re talking about though, and maybe he’s taking a leaf out of his character’s book and not telling the whole truth.

We know hardly anything else about the movie other than the fact that it will feature Jessie Pinkman (Aaron Paul), and that it is coming to Netflix.

We’re excited as hell either way.
