Tarantino’s Cliff Booth Movie Lands At Netflix With David Fincher

Cliff Booth is heading to Netflix. The Adventures of Cliff Booth, the standalone follow-up to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, will be released on Netflix later this year, with Brad Pitt reprising the stuntman role and David Fincher in the director’s chair. Irish viewers will be able to stream it on Netflix Ireland.

Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman has explained how the project ended up with the streamer rather than the studio behind the 2019 original. Tarantino wrote the sequel but stepped back from directing, and the only film-maker he trusted to take it on was Fincher — who holds an exclusive deal with Netflix, sending the movie to the platform.

The film is set for a Netflix release later in 2026, so Irish audiences will be able to stream it on Netflix Ireland when it arrives. Its move to the streamer comes as Rothman insists the box office is far from finished, telling Variety: “So I guess movies aren’t dead after all?”
