The film sounds very intriguing.
Danny Dyer has announced that he is making a new movie that will be shot in Dublin, a project that he has compared to the Colin Farrell classic Phone Booth.
In the latest episode of his podcast Live and Let Dyers, The Football Factory and Rivals star revealed that he recently had to undergo “a very in-depth medical” for insurance reasons ahead of the production of the film titled Three Quick Breaths.
The movie will begin filming in the Irish capital this month.
“I can’t talk too much about it. It’s a really mad concept,” he said, before jokingly adding: “I’m trying to push myself now that I’m known as Marlon Brando in the acting world because of Rivals, you know?”
Dyer was referencing his acclaimed supporting turn in Disney+’s hit comedy-drama show Rivals.
The 2023 series was quickly renewed for a second season.
Speaking more about Three Quick Breaths to his co-host and daughter Dani Dyer, Danny also revealed that he plays the only character in the upcoming movie.
He explained: “Again, I won’t go too into it. [It’s a] bit like Phone Booth [with] Colin Farrell.
“Anyone seen that film? It’s quite a clever idea.”
Danny Dyer also said: “Even though I’ve been acting for so long anyway, this is something that’s going to be a real test for me.”
The actor will next be seen on screens in the movie Marching Powder, for which he reteamed with Nick Love – the writer-director behind The Football Factory.
In the comedy-drama film, for which there is already a very NSFW teaser, Dyer plays an ageing, drug-taking football hooligan forced to try and turn his life around.
Marching Powder will be out in cinemas in Ireland sometime in 2025.
