Drake has practically sealed the fate of Arya Stark with shoutout at Billboard awards
Listen to JOE's brand new GOT reaction show, The North Awaits, with Michael Fry & Carl Kinsella right here.
Oh Drake, what have you done?
As always, if you haven't seen the recent episode of Game of Thrones, consider this to be your spoiler alert warning.
Despite the fact that there's a detailed history of musicians making cameos in Game of Thrones, they usually don't end too well. Ed Sheeran's Lannister soldier had his eyelids melted off, Sigur Ros played at the Purple Wedding, and Coldplay's Will Champion was one of the musicians at the Red Wedding.
All things considered, it's a grim list.
However, as the Night King entered the Winterfell Godswood in the most recent episode, Ramin Djawadi's incredible score set the stage for one of the greatest moments in the show's history as Arya stuck the Valyrian steal dagger into the Night King.
In doing so, the entire landscape in Game of Thrones has now changed and after perfecting her deadly skills for eight seasons, Arya has now looked death in the eye and killed it.
On a separate note, it has been a good week for Drake too after the Canadian rapper broke the record for the most number of Billboard Music Awards received by an artist - he picked up another 12 at Wednesday's event - which means the rapper now has a total of 27 Billboard Awards to his name.
After thanking his mam for her "relentless effort" in his life during his acceptance speech, he switched gears and gave a shoutout to the finest killer in Westeros.
"Shout out to Arya Stark for putting in that work last week," said Drake.

A nice touch from Drake for sure, but did he stop to think about the potential implications for the new hero in Westeros?
To the uninitiated, something of a curse has developed around the Canadian rapper in recent years, with numerous athletes from a variety of sporting codes suffering defeat or misfortune shortly after attending his concerts or appearing in photos alongside one of the biggest music stars on the planet.
Those to have fallen victim to the supposed curse so far include Paul Pogba, Sergio Aguero, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Serena Williams and Conor McGregor and it got to the stage where AS Roma's excellent Twitter account issued a ban on any players taking photos with Drake until the end of the season.

Granted, Arya might be saved by the fact that filming for the entire final season for Game of Thrones would have long wrapped up by the time of Drake's shoutout on Wednesday night, but such is the apparent power of the curse, who knows what implications it might have for the youngest surviving Stark and for the seven kingdoms?
