movies on TV

Friday, Friday gotta get down on Friday.

Fridays have changed drastically this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy yourself.

And if you’re not tuning into The Late Late Show, then you may be interested in watching some of these movies.

Parker – 9pm – Virgin Media One

A very forgettable action movie that is not saved by the two beautiful leads (Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham).

Casino Royale – 9pm – ITV4

There is a James Bond movie on TV every night these days, and luckily tonight’s is a good one.

The Fugitive – 9.30pm – RTÉ2

A masterful performance from Harrison Ford, even though it’s Tommy Lee Jones that picked up the Oscar for this classic thriller.

Rocky IV – 10pm – TCM

If this isn’t the best Rocky movie, then it is definitely the most inspirational. That workout montage out in Russia…

A Simple Favour – 10.45pm – BBC One

A very watchable movie with a far from simple plot, starring Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively. Funny in parts, but genuinely a bit difficult to keep up with.

Terms of Endearment – 11.25pm – RTÉ One

A brilliant 1983 comedy/drama with a star-studded cast (Debra Winger, Shirley MacLaine, Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Jeff Daniels, and John Lithgow). Definitely worth a watch.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues – 00.00am – Channel4

One hill that this writer is willing to die on is that Anchorman 2 is a top tier comedy film. Don’t listen to the haters.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
