“That’s not your boy.”

Welcome to #TRAILERCHEST, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for The Hole In The Ground.

Plot’s it all about?

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again – 2019 looks like it will be a great year for fans of scary movies.

One of the highlights we’re looking forward to audiences all around the world seeing is The Hole In The Ground, which stars Seana Kerslake (A Date for Mad Mary) as single mother Sarah who moves to a rural area with her young son Chris (James Quinn Markey).

One night her son goes missing, and when he reappears soon afterwards something seems a bit… off.

Some of the locals in the nearby village might know a bit more than they’re letting on, but it will be up to Sarah to find out what happened to her son and if there is anything she can do to save him from what he has become.

As you can spot from the trailer below, JOE has actually already seen The Hole In The Ground, and we can safely say that it has a strong stake in being one of – if not THE – scariest Irish movie ever made.

And if you know us here at JOE, you know how much we love our scary movies, so we don’t make a statement like that lightly…

Starring: Seána Kerslake, James Quinn Markey, James Cosmo
