The show comes from the writer of The Dark Knight and Man Of Steel.
Superman has hit the small screen a few times by now - you'll remember Smallville, or if you're that bit older, the Adventures Of Lois & Clark - but with Krypton, it looks like they're telling a story we've never quite seen before.
It tells the story of Superman's grandfather Seyg-El (played by relative newbie Cameron Cuffe), as he fights for justice on the planet of Krypton.
The show's executive producer David Goyer (the screenwriter of Man Of Steel, The Dark Knight and more besides) has previously told IFTN that the show, which has been predominately filmed in Belfast, has a seven or eight year plan, which could see a lot more famous faces arrive on the set, should it prove to be a hit.
Irish director Ciaran Donnelly (Vikings') is also executive producer and director on a number of episodes. In addition to Cameron Cuffe, the show also stars Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons), Ann Ogbomo (World War Z), Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness), Wallis Day (Will), Aaron Pierre (Tennison) with Northern Irish actors Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones) and Paula Malcomson (The Hunger Games) also featuring.
The first episode is set to air on SyFy on Wednesday 21 March, and you can check out the new trailer, as well as the two previously released teasers, back-to-back on the link below.
