Late Late Show

Expect hormones. Lots and lots of hormones.

Next Wednesday, as all you lovers out there should know, is Valentine’s Day, which means that the Late Late Show Valentine’s Special goes out tonight, always a recipe for chaos in the RTÉ studios.

It’s been a riot the last couple of years and with 200 single men and women in the audience for tonight’s edition, it’s going to be well worth tuning into once more.

As well as that, here’s who’s going to be on the Late Late and the Graham Norton Show on Friday night.

The Late Late Show airs on RTÉ One at 9.35pm and The Graham Norton Show goes out on BBC One and BBC Northern Ireland at 10.35pm.

The Late Late Show

  • The Young Offenders cast – After the first in a new six-part TV series went down a treat following its debut on RTÉ on Thursday night, the stars of The Young Offenders, Alex Murphy, Chris Walley, Hilary Rose and PJ Gallagher, will chat to Ryan about one of the biggest success stories in Irish comedy in years.
  • Sinitta – The 80s pop diva will be performing one of her biggest hits and will chat to Ryan about her recent appearance on Celebrity First Dates and rumours that Cheryl Cole doesn’t want herself or Louis Walsh back on X Factor.
  • Panel of Love – Doireann Garrihy, Philomena Begley and Eoghan McDermott will be doling out some sage advice to the 200 singletons in the audience.
  • Some of Ireland’s older couples will talk about how they kept their love alive over the decades and there’ll be a panel on modern love in an Ireland much changed from the days of The Late Late Show Valentine’s Specials in the late ‘70s and ‘80s.
  • There’ll also be a blind date segment, while Dancing with the Stars contestant Rob Heffernan and his wife Marian will join some young couples in studio for a Mr and Mrs quiz.
  • Music from – T’Pau and Mike Denver.

The Graham Norton Show

  • Saoirse Ronan – The Carlow native is very much the talk of Hollywood right now following her Oscar-nominated turn in Ladybird and she’ll join Graham for a chat before the big ceremony next month.
  • Eric McCormack and Debra Messing – For audiences of a certain generation, this pair will need no introduction and they’ll be onto discuss their recent reunion for a new series of Will and Grace.
  • Rob Beckett – One of the most popular comedians on the circuit right now will chat to Graham about his role as the presenter of the new BBC singing competition, All Together Now.
  • Music from Keala Settle, who will perform the Oscar-nominated ‘This is Me’ from The Greatest Showman.
