From Holywood to Hollywood.

A Hollywood celebrity has been confirmed as the first guest for the Late Late Show on Friday, January 19.

Jamie Dornan, who is currently starring in the second season of the critically praised BBC drama The Tourist, will be joining Patrick Kielty in the RTÉ studios this week.

The announcement comes a week after Kielty’s “best show to date”, as he received major praise from viewers for last Friday’s episode featuring Conan O’Brien and Graham Norton.

Golden Globe nominated Dornan will be on the show to chat about his role in The Tourist, where filming took place in Ireland.

The 41-year-old told the Belfast Telegraph that the new series offers up “something a bit different purely by geography. I feel like the colour of the Outback, the scale of it and fear was a major character in the first series.

“We’ve taken that away this time and we have suddenly gone from the orangey dirt of the Outback to the lush green settings of Ireland. Particularly with the first episode, it’s like a Tourism Ireland advert.”

Viewers were delighted with last week’s episode of the Late Late, where American comedy legend Conan O’Brien gave a chaotic interview with Kielty.

One fan commented that it was Kielty’s “best show to date”, while another said “Paddy Kielty gets better and better at this gig. Guests are getting better too.”

No other guests have been confirmed as of yet for Friday’s show. However, it’s worth noting that a certain duo of Irish actors are expected to be in Dublin on Friday to promote their new movie All of Us Strangers.

If they don’t show up, then they have at least been confirmed in the line up for this week’s Graham Norton Show.
