More than a decade after it first hit cinemas, The Maze Runner has found a whole new audience, climbing into the list of the biggest films on streaming worldwide.
All of it happening some 12 years on from its release, and Irish viewers can catch it on HBO Max.
The 2014 sci-fi dystopian film, based on James Dashner's bestselling novel, follows Thomas, a boy who wakes in a grassy enclosure called the Glade with no memory of who he is, surrounded by other boys and a deadly maze.
It rode the same 2010s wave of young-adult book adaptations as The Hunger Games and Divergent.
The film has become a genuine hit on HBO Max, taking a top spot on the platform just days after it became available internationally.
As of writing it sits at Number 6 on the service worldwide and is Number 1 in nine countries. Irish viewers can stream The Maze Runner on HBO Max, which is available in Ireland now.
