The Good Will Hunting star, 56, shared a video to Instagram wearing a neck brace, as RTE Entertainment and TMZ reported.

Driver said the crash happened on a country road in the middle of France when another car failed to stop at an intersection and struck the vehicle she was in with her friend Ben.

She has since returned to her home in London to recover.

"I got into a really bad car accident a few days ago with my friend Ben," Driver said, "and we somehow walked out of it. To be very clear, it was not our fault."

The actress credited the design of her car with saving their lives, praising its "360-degree airbags" and saying "the reason that I'm not dead, honestly, is the car that we were driving."

She added that she is "really in shock" but expects to heal.
